This is a wonderful place, busy the entire time I was there. Very friendly Staff and I met and spoke with Skipper himself. My Breakfast was gerrrrrrrrate! Looking forward to going back.
Isn't the best greasy spoon on the planet but it is always packed and has good service. Another breakfast place that is hard to beat but it is hard to mess up breakfast
We are always on the search from great breakfast/brunch places & Skippers hit the spot. Our server Russell was great & was a fun start to the day. My husband Russ & he cracked me up with a story about a painting on the wall. I had 2 eggs with toast & bacon & of course I had to try the cottage cheese which was yummy. I am kind of picky about my cottage cheese & the last 2 places I had it was really good. My husband had a 2 eggs sandwich with bacon & grits. If I'm ever in the area again we will definitely go bacon& asl for Russell.
Excellent food!! After a hard night of living it up, we nestled in and found ourselves craving food! Staff is very friendly and on top of it! Everyone in our party loved what they got and no one is walking away not stuffed! I got the chicken fried steak with eggs! If there were more, I'd eat it!! Great place for breakfast. Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. Ordered the chopped steak and eggs along with grits, biscuits, and Greek coffee. Food is delicious, and biscuit is huge. Greek coffee is similar to Greek coffee. It is guaranteed to wake you up. I finished all of it except biscuit and grits. Also, I ordered a cheesecake. Did not get to finish it, and it is phenomenal. Plenty of parking. Place is generally packed all the time. Cannot wait to return.
Warning: Skipper's uses styrofoam to go containers. Coffee is pretty bitter but service is prompt. Good local dive. The omelettes are pretty burnt - $12 without any cheese on the inside feels like I'm being overcharged. Good sized servings - 2 people could split one omelette plate easily. Ambiance feels like you're on a boat. The restaurant is clean with lots of parking.
